Painting, Waterproofing, Repairs
Residential, commerical and industrial work. Every job specified per surface and exposure.
How We Work. 5 Steps. No Shortcuts
Paint fails at the preparation stage, not the final coat. Our process puts the time where it matters, before the first tin opens.
Step 1
Site assessment
We measure moisture and map every surface before quoting.
Step 2 (Where the job is won)
Surface preparation
Scraping, sanding, crack repair and priming. Prep determines most of a paint job's lifespan, it's where painters cut corners, so it's where we spend our time. Moisture readings before priming, every time.
Step 3
Product specification
We spec the coating system for your surface and exposure, Plascon and Dulux systems matched to salt air, damp or full sun. Not one paint for everything.
Step 4
Application
Neat lines, our own trained team, and a clean site at the end of every day.
Step 5
Walkthrough
You sign off every surface. Customer satisfaction and care is our number one priority.

Built for the Cape Coast
We protect your property against the toughest weather in the Western Cape.
Your property is one of your biggest investments, and the Cape coast is hard on it. Whether we are repainting a family home, maintaining an apartment block, or coating a commercial or industrial building, the standard never changes: precise work, a durable finish, and a team that takes responsibility for the result. Plenty of painters cut corners on preparation to quote a cheaper price. We do not. We prepare every surface properly and use quality, weather-resistant products made to handle coastal conditions, so the coating lasts instead of failing in a season. Doing the job right the first time is what saves you money. Proper prep stops water getting in, protects the structure, and cuts your maintenance costs for years. That is real value, not a low number on a quote. From the first site assessment to the final coat, our crews manage every detail. It is that discipline that has made Flux Painting Contractors one of the most trusted painting companies in Cape Town and the Southern Peninsula. We do not just paint walls. We protect what they are part of.
Prepared properly. Built to last. Guaranteed.

Common Questions
How much does it cost to paint a house in Cape Town?
Every job is priced on the size of the property, the surfaces involved, and the condition of the walls before we start. Coastal homes often need repairs or waterproofing first, which affects the price. We give a free site assessment and an itemised quote, so you know exactly what you are paying for before any work begins.
How often should I repaint my property in the Western Cape?
The Cape climate is hard on paint. Salt air, wind, and strong sun wear exterior coatings faster than inland areas. Most exteriors need repainting every 5 to 8 years, sooner on properties directly exposed to the coast. A good quality system, applied over properly prepared surfaces, lasts at the longer end of that range.
What is the best paint for coastal conditions?
There is no single answer, because the right product depends on the surface and how exposed it is. Coastal properties need weather-resistant, flexible coatings that cope with damp, salt, and temperature swings. We select the correct system for each surface and work with trusted brands, rather than using the same paint on every job.
Are you registered and insured?
Yes. Flux Painting Contractors is a registered contractor covered by COIDA with additional third party public liability insurance. This protects both our team and your property while we work. Always ask any Cape Town painter for proof of cover before you let them on site.
Do you handle waterproofing and repairs, or only painting?
Both. Paint applied over a damaged or damp wall will fail, so we fix the underlying problem first. Alongside interior and exterior painting we handle waterproofing, plaster and structural repairs, rust treatment, and roof coatings, so the whole job is done properly by one team.
